The fellowships are always enjoyable and today was no different. Lots of great food, beautiful weather, great conversation and fun for the children. There were many different countries, cultures and blends of families represented. Some of the countries represented were China, Taiwan, Africa and Peru as well as several from the US. It is so awesome to hear the stories of how they became a family. To have all of these families with children from all over the world end up in a backyard in South Louisiana together enjoying each other's company.

His Heart for Orphans Adoption Fellowship
I went to the His Heart for Orphans Adoption fellowship Sunday afternoon. This is where families who have adopted or who, like myself, just have a heart for adoption, get together quarterly for a fun day. Aimee and Tommy Poche head this ministry sponsored by Healing Place Church. They are also the parents of 8 beautiful children. You can read their amazing story here. Aimee is also the designer of Sew Sensible Patterns.

Adoption Workshop, APIL and CDs for Nanoo Designs
Saturday morning I helped with an adoption workshop sponsored by Healing Place Church. Check out His Heart for Orphans Blogs for details and pictures.

These are the winners of the Pillow Pals I donated as door prizes. The names picked just happened to be a boy and a girl that worked out perfect since we had a boy and girl Pillow Pal.

Saturday afternoon was the APIL (Ascension Parish Inclusive League) Fall Fest with food, games, prizes and lots of fun. Here are some pictures.
I also worked on a new project - epatterns on cd. Aimee from Sew Sensible talked to someone at All Brands and we are both now selling our patterns on their website on cd and will soon have them available in their stores in Baton Rouge and Lafayette. I've been working on the first order and making one of each pattern to showcase in their store.

Prayer for Foster Children
Last night I attended a prayer vigil for children in foster care in Louisiana sponsored by His Heart for Orphans Adoption Ministry at Healing Place Church. We had pictures and information on the children so we were able to pray for specific needs for them as well as workers, foster parents, families of the children, those involved in running the agencies and for action on the children's behalf. It's heartbreaking to see the faces of these precious children that don't have a permanent home. There is such a huge need in this area and I was blessed to be a part of the prayer team.
