Linen Halter

This is another halter dress I made using linen fabric. This fabric caught my eye while shopping in Hancock one day. It is also lined. I prefer to substitute full lining instead of facings, like this pattern called for. It makes the item have a more finished look.

Hey, check out this site
http://www.etsy.com/how_selling_works.php
It's a place where handmade items are sold and bought. I've been seeing the name Etsy recently and decided to check it out. You may consider using this as another outlet to sell your children's clothes.

Do you just cut a lining off the dress pattern and sew them together? All the items I have made came with pattern for lining and I just bought a few patterns that call for facing. I prefer the lining too, it just looks finished! Cute dress!

Yes, to make the lining, I just cut two of the pattern. In some cases, you may not be able to do this though. If it has pleats or gathers, for instance, this won't work.

I've been sewing for about 30 years off and on. My mom and grandmother also sewed. I have been attending HPC since 2000 so we may have met.
