APIL's 1st Basketball Game of 2010

APIL (Ascension Parish Inclusive League) had the first basketball game of the 2010 season today as part of the AYBA (Ascension Youth Basketball Association) program. Jerseys were handed out and pictures taken.

Everyone had a great time and learned some of the basic basketball terminology and skills. APIL is scheduled to play at Galvez Middle School at 10AM during the AYBA season.

APIL is a non-competitive inclusive recreation league for children with or without disabilities (ages 4-13) to participate together in recreational activities and games.

APIL Basketball - End of Season

We finished the APIL (Ascension Parish Inclusive League) basketball season at St. Amant Middle School Gym. Each participant received a certificate and trophy. Carl Seiner who runs the AYBA program was awesome in setting up the games as each gym and providing the trophies. The season was a great success and enjoyed by both the children and volunteers.

We are looking forward to the tball season starting in March.

APIL Basketball

We had the first couple of weeks of APIL Basketball and it was a great success. APIL (Ascension Parish Inclusive League) partnered with AYBA (Ascension Youth Basketball Association) to play in the Middle School gyms. Each week we play at a different gym. Here are some pictures.
