This is the first try of my new pattern called Pillow Pals. I made the girl version but plan to make a boy version also. This is an easy and fun pattern to get the kids involved with. They can help design the face and help with the stuffing. Its fun and functional and a great gift idea. I have a few adjustments to make, then I'll start on the instructions. I hope to have it available in a couple of weeks.

Very cute! A "sleep over" every night!
I found your blog posted on etsy.

Cute idea! I think Kaitlyn would go for it if I used a bear head/paws. She seems to like bears more then dolls. Are you getting any of the bad weather from the storm? I've already tried calling my parents cell phones this morning. =( They are north of Houston and in the direct path of the storm. I was just watching the path on cnn.com and noticed it really sweeps over Louisiana too, which made me think of you.
Jennifer, Thanks for thinking about me. Hurricane Ike only brought some rain and 30 - 50 MPH wind gusts where I live. I hope your parents faired well. I think Houston may be like Baton Rouge was, without power for awhile although flooding could be a problem also. I have relatives and friends in Texas and the company I work for has an office in Laporte, TX south of Houston. I've been praying for them and all those in the storm's path.
Hi there. Your blog came up in an internet search I just did. I was looking for instructions on how to make smocked dresses and your post with your smocking appeared. How cool! I can't seem to find step by step instructions anywhere...and the ones I do find look really hard. Just thought I would say hi, and your blog is so cute! You have so many neat projects!!
